Kids Club is a fabulous way of giving young children horse contact and riding experience. It is for children aged 4 and upwards, and consists of one and a half hours which is divided between Riding (on a lead rein) and Stable Management geared to young beginners. These clubs take place on a Saturdays at 10.15 a.m. and on Sundays at 11.30 a.m.
Kids Club Plus is for children who have progressed from Kids Club and no longer need to be led. This session is held on a Saturdays at 9.15 a.m. and at 2.30 p.m.
18th Oct 2009 - Slim and Polly team out at Merist Wood
Having taken part in the 120 cm and 130 cm show jumping competitions at Merrist Wood, Polly Bursby and her gelding Cut the Corner have placed in the second place in both classes.
23th - 25th Oct 2009 - Patchetts, North London Show Jumping
Polly Bursby and her champion Cut the Corner, AKA Slim excelled at last weekends 3 day show at Patchetts Show jumping Arena, being placed fifth in the Fri, 23th Oct in the 125cm class, second in the 130cm and 135cm on Sat, 24th Oct. Having done so well and feeling encouraged, Polly decided to take Slim in the 140cm on the Sunday. The pair did ever so well jumping the 140cm course clear and rightfully earning a place in the 150cm jump-off, placing 7th in this class. On arrival back at CEC, a dedicated group of their fans were still at the stables to welcome them. Slim had a roll in his freshly made straw bed and Polly was given a nicely chilled glass of vino. Congratulations to you both !

Hat off to one of our youngest riders, Darcey Rawlingson winning the Junior British Novice 90cm, Junior Discovery 100cm and the Junior Fox Hunter 110cm classes on her pony Bojangaes. The Olympics next for you Dot! You made us proud once again.
25th Oct 2009 - Royal Leisure, Henfield, West Sussex
Chessington's young and very talented Emily Dawson and her own Tagg You're It have ventured in to the deep West Sussex to compete at the Royal Leisure. The sunny Sunday got even sunnier when Emily and Tagg placed 2nd in the British Novice, 90cm class. Very well done Emily!
25th Oct 2009 - Three horses, three girls, two different cross country shows
Denise Atkinson and Toby, Jane Fuller with Trinidad and Silvie Brejchova on CC organised a master plan of jumping two cross country courses at two different venues. With near military precision, the first trip was to Vicarage Farm where Toby and CC with their jockeys were placed 2nd in the pairs. The second leg of the competition day was at Pachersham for a more advanced cross country course of 85cm jumps and combinations. Jane Fuller and Trinidad owned by Nigel Morland had a clear round, getting a very respectable 9th place.
